We can work with your civil engineer, if needed, to develop the subsurface investigation plan based on the town/city requirements and their design.
SAFETY is paramount - we will perform call before you dig or One Call to clear out borings located within or near Right-of-Way (ROW). The Client will be required to identify in writing buried utilities within their property.
Deliverables include reporting and lab testing results. If recommendations are requested, we can provide those in the report that can be signed and sealed by a state Professional Engineer (will incur additional fees).
Our limited-access portable rig has a footprint of about 6 ft by 3 ft. horizontally (during transport from boring to boring) and 3 ft by 3 ft vertically (tower down). We adjust the tower for low clearance applications (less than 10 ft accessible height).
Separate power source for indoor drilling, to allow for fumes to be vented outside.
Indicate if Hollow-stem auger (HSA) or Mud-rotary is required for your project; HSA is preferred.
Mud-rotary (M-R):
Soil cuttings will be returned into the borehole and any excess will be containerized and left at the Site.
Client to ensure there is room for a 5 ft by 2.5 ft mud tub and our driller's work area.
Bedrock core runs are 4-ft long.
Wells cannot be installed effectively.
HSA:
Ideal drilling technique to install monitoring wells.
Cannot drill through large boulders or bedrock.
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice at the completion of drilling work or receipt of Soils Report. We do not accept "pay when paid" arrangements.
